Ruby on Rails Software Engineer - Baltimore
mdlogix, a rapidly growing software development company with offices in Baltimore, is seeking experienced and passionate Ruby on Rails software engineers for our headquarters in Baltimore. You must have a solid working knowledge of object-oriented methodologies, experience building enterprise web applications and enjoy working in small, agile teams.
The Job: You will be embedded in a small Scrum team, working closely with your teammates, the Product Owner, and the Scrum Master to leverage Ruby on Rails and deliver innovative medical research support software. You will use your exceptional skills and experience in web development to create dynamic functionality.
As an ideal candidate, you:
- are experienced with multiple languages - our language of choice is Ruby (on Rails)
- possess strong object-oriented design, development and implement web-based application for clinical research skills
- love web development using CSS, Javascript (AJAX) and RJS
- are a proponent of Test Driven Development using RSpec
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- want to make a difference by working in health care
- are excited to work in an agile development environment
- have database design/development experience using MS-SQL, MySQL or Oracle
- perform use-case analysis, object-oriented design, data modeling using Ruby on Rails. Knowledge of Graph Theory, Logic Programming, HTML, JavaScript, and C/C++.
- MS in Comp Sci or related, 6 months related exp.
