MDLOGIX CLINICAL RESEARCH MANAGEMENT SYSTEM RECEIVES caBIG™ BRONZE CERTIFICATION
Baltimore, MD---The National Cancer Institute’s Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology certified the mdlogix Clinical Research Management System (CRMS) as caBIG™-compatible at the Bronze level on Nov. 16. Certification was based on CRMS’ demonstrated compliance with the Cancer Biomedical Informatics GridTM (caBIGTM) compatibility guidelines at the Bronze level. mdlogix entered into a license agreement with the NCI on Nov. 29 to use the caBIG™ trademark, and CRMS will be listed as a Bronze-level caBIG™ compatible product on the NCI caBIG™ Web site.
The caBIG™ initiative’s goal is to “accelerate research discoveries and improve patient outcomes by linking researchers, physicians, and patients throughout the cancer community.” It will be accomplished in part by improving the computer systems used to collect research data and manage clinical studies.
