Specimen Tracking
By integrating with the entire mdlogix CRMS system, this module links specimens to patient information, studies, consents, and calendars of events. This web-based application provides a secure, HIPAA- and CFR Part 11-compliant system for tracking specimen activity and requesting specimens for research.
Unique passwords, role-based security, and SSL encryption ensure proper security of data and specimens themselves. Detailed tracking through barcode creation, customizable permissions, user log monitoring, and an “audit trail” ensures specimens maintain a high level of quality throughout the collection and storage process.
A powerful search tool lets users search for specimens in their own banks as well as de-identified specimens in other banks. The system allows users to submit requests for specimens which are managed on a Requests Worklist.
Shipping and receiving is streamlined through creation of barcoded shipping boxes for approved specimen requests, and barcode scanning for seamless specimen check-in/check-out.
